The A2/L1/L2/Kroma Tail Shroud turns the tail-switch into a tail-standing unit. The “tactical” version is ~1.20” in diameter (body of light is .900") to allow it to be used with a handgun in the “Rogers” or Graham” methods. These were designed to maintain a good seal on the rubber boot, and should have no negative impact on water resistance. Modification of the original switch is required to put this shroud on, which will likely void the warranty. To install, remove the stock retaining ring from the back of the switch by turning it counterclockwise, and replace with the shroud unit. The stock unit may be held secure with a form of Loctite, and may require heat to break free. I recommend using a hairdryer for a few minutes to remove.

The A2/L1/L2/Kroma Tail Shroud turns the tailswitch into a tailstanding unit on. The straight version is the same diameter as the body to allow it to fit into holsters. This is two items that I made to make the SureFire G2 a little more user friendly when using it with a handgun in the “Graham Method” of holding the light while shooting. They are made from Delrin (super high tensile strength plastic) and come in black only.

I find his method much easier than the “Rogers,” because it does not compromise my grip and still keeps the light parallel with the barrel. Unfortunately the G2 has a tail switch that is a little too small and short to take full advantage of this method so I made this modification to change that.
Both parts slip on and do not permanently modify your flashlight. You will loose some water proofing since the rubber cover is no longer used, but the diameter of the extension is .525” and fits into the .530” hole on the tailcap with a good seal.
My bet is that you will have the same level of water resistance as before, but buyer beware I don’t guarantee it.
