Well I found two webpages that answer that question better than I ever could.

They both use FLASH and if you watch the cycling of the gun and play with the cutaway options there should be no questions left.

Check it out!

  1. GLOCK Animation

  2. 1911 Animation

  1. Get an Uncle Mikes kydex holster

  2. 3 Uncle Mikes single mag pouches

  3. 3 spare mags for your gun.

  4. A pair of safety glasses

  5. Set of ear plugs

That is all you need to get started.  Take the above to the nearest match and learn to shoot better.  Don’t let equipment stand in your way, “Just do it!”

  1. KWA-17 Gun: These are very reliable and will hold up to FoF, many airsoft guns will not.  It is better to use a gun that does not match your carry gun than to have an exact replica that does not work.  FoF is not about the gun, it’s about decision making, learning to move and shoot, and shooting with the distractions of a live opponent.

  2. Hop-up Kit: Makes you feel the hits better smile

  3. Airsoft Innovations Propane Adapter: Will allow you to use propane instead of expensive “green gas” which is propane with lubricant in it. BIG $$$ saver!

  4. Airsoft Ultra Light-Weight Silicone Oil: One drop every few mags to keep gun lubricated.

  5. Paintball Mask: Goggles are NOT enough, unless you like BB’s up your nose at 320fps!

  6. BBs

This is a very personal area that will require several issues to be addressed before you can get a “perfect” fit to you, your gun, and lifestyle.

There are two (listed below) that have proven themselves to work for MOST people.  The odds of getting one that fits you well first time out are greatly increased by selecting one of these two.

There are many others which do as well or better a job also, but these are the most popular because of design and availability.

  1. Versa Max II from Milt Sparks

  2. Summer Special II from Milt Sparks also available at Brownells.com

  3. C-T.A.C. from Comp-Tac

Tactical Reload (Tac-Load):

is recharging the gun during a lull in the action.

  1. Drawing a spare magazine prior to the ejection of the partial magazine from the gun.
  2. Dropping the partial magazine from the gun into the palm of your weak hand.
  3. Inserting the spare magazine into the gun.
  4. Stowing the partial magazine.

Reload with Retention (RWR):

is recharging the gun during a lull in the action.

  1. Dropping the partial magazine from the gun.
  2. Stowing the partial magazine.
  3. Drawing a spare magazine.
  4. Inserting the spare magazine into the gun.

Slide-Lock (Emergency) Reload:

is recharging the gun when it is completely empty.

  1. Dropping the empty magazine.
  2. Drawing a spare magazine.
  3. Inserting the spare magazine into the gun.
  4. Racking the slide or hitting the slide release button.

Speed-Load:

is the same as a slide-lock reload but with the slide forward. Thats why its not called a slide-lock reload.

I have kids in the house, how can I have my gun ready but kept safe from curious kids?

  1. The best way is to educate them about firearms and the dangers of them, but also that they can be safe when handled correctly.  Take the curiosity away with education.

The NRA has a great program for doing exactly this called the “Eddie Eagle” program.

  2. Second, get a fast access safe for the bedroom night stand.
Gun Vault 1000 (Mini) Handgun Safe
or the cheaper solution is found at Harborfreight.com
    Large Electronic Safe
    Small Electronic Safe

Good question, and like most good questions, the answer is “it depends.”
